Who am I and where do I come from.

My name is Eric Joseph Carruthers. My forebears came from the Longtown and Carlisle areas of Cumbria, England. My grandfather George Carruthers left Carlisle and went to work in Glasgow,Scotland,where he was a railways inspector circa 1850. I was born in Glasgow, and emigrated to Australia in 1950. I am widowed and have three adult children. I worked in the oil industry and was involved in the development of the Bass Strait oil and gas fields. I am now retired.
